Sean Wagner

Co-founder

Sean has been in long-term recovery and involved in the recovery community since 2014. After developing a successful business career for himself in construction, he has been able to use what he has learned to follow his passion for helping others. He believes that recovering from substance abuse can be fun and exciting. As a result, he spends a lot of his time connecting with those in early recovery and engages in fun activities and experiences while sober; such as camping, watersports, and hiking. Sean has a thirteen-year-old son, who was born on Sean’s twenty-first birthday!

John Morgan

John Morgan CADC II/QMHA

Executive Director

John has worked in the addiction field since 2012. He is patient-centered and identifies as a person in long-term recovery. John utilizes DBT, CBT, NVC, and Motivational Interviewing techniques to help you identify what your goals are and what to do to reach those goals. “What is your idea of success and how can I help you get there?” John also sits on the Board of Directors for MAAPP’s (METROPLUS ASSOCIATION of ADDICTION PEER PROFESSIONALS) http://www.maapp.org/ and serves as the chair of the Portland Community College Advisory Committee for the Alcohol and Drug Program.

John really enjoys hitting the Oregon Dunes with friends and family, where he rides his YFZ 450 for hours just enjoying the flow of the sand. He also likes to work on cars and plays a mean game of pinochle.

Sounak Misra, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Misra grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and St. Louis and after completing high school, attended University of Missouri-Kansas City for his undergraduate and medical degrees.  After completing an internal medicine residency there, he moved to Portland, OR in 2004 where he went on to complete a geriatric fellowship. After working in primary care for several years, in 2012, with the burgeoning opioid epidemic, Dr. Misra transitioned his practice to focus on the treatment of addiction.  Since then, he has been board certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventative Medicine.  In addition to working in the field, Dr. Misra is personally an active member of the recovery community in Portland.  He believes in a holisitic approach to recovery that encompasses one’s physical, mental, spiritual, and social health and the importance of engaging and giving back to one’s community.  He lives in SE Portland with his beautiful wife, Shawn, and their two fur babies, Percy and Munchkin, maintains a deep love for music and comic books, and is a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears.

Craig Chan, CADC II, CGAC II, QMHA-I, CRM

Program Director

Craig is the Program Director at Another Chance Drug and Alcohol Rehab of Portland. He holds a BS in Human Development and an AAS in alcohol and drug counseling. With extensive experience in behavioral health care, he’s skilled in Public Speaking, Group Therapy, and Case Management. Craig is credentialed in Oregon as an alcohol and drug counselor, gambling addictions counselor, and certified recovery mentor. He believes in honoring individuals with compassion and empathy, offering support for their journey to healing from addiction and life challenges.

Julia Eggen

Julia Wagner CRM/CADC-R

Outreach/Administration Management

Julia identifies as a person in long term recovery and is an avid animal lover who is motivated to help others find freedom from active addiction. She is a Certified Recovery Mentor and can often be found with her Bull Mastiff, Axl, who loves to support others as well. Axl is a registered emotional support dog.

Jessica Anderson CADC-R

Outreach & Admissions

Jessica has been submerged in the recovery community since she was a child. She was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. For the past few years, Jessica has worked in the medical field and managed Sober Living’s. She identifies as someone in long-term recovery and is looking forward to growing in this field, offering her services to those who need them. In her free time she likes to go rollerskating with her husband and kids, when they are not taking care of their mini farm. She loves her animals! She has a flock of geese, two mini goats, chickens, a rabbit, and a giant St. Bernard to name a few!

John specializes in NVC, DBT, CBT, and MI to help develop and maintain motivation for change. John is an avid proponent of self-acceptance as a platform to develop a meaningful relationship with yourself. John utilizes community-based skate parks to maintain his self-care engaging in BMX vert riding.

Sage Nebula

Sage Nebula CADC I, CRM

Primary Counselor

Sage identifies as a person with multiple-intersecting identities as well as someone with with lived experience in both mental health and recovery. They began their career in the behavioral health field in 2020 and have since earned their CRM, CADC1 and are currently working towards earning their Bachelors of Social Work at Portland State University. Sage utilizes their lived experiences of the behavioral health systems in Oregon to support those they serve in navigating systems and resources. Sage’s passion is rooted in trauma-informed care and harm reduction to help clients find their own autonomous journey through recovery. 

Sage has experience working with vulnerable populations such as domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, those who are unhoused, BIPOC, LGBT, and those living with nuerodivergence. They hope to utilize this experience to provide individualist care and encourage patients in discovering self-empowerment and acceptance so that they can begin to live healthily in their authenticity.

Carrie Agee CADC I

Carrie has years of experience and a deep understanding of the challenges that addiction can present.  She is committed to helping others overcome their struggles and find hope in their own paths to recovery.  

As a caring and empathetic counselor, Carrieleverages her own experiences in addition to utilizing CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to provide genuine support and guidance to those seeking a brighter and healthier future.  

Beyond her professional dedication, Carrie finds joy in spending quality time with her family, and continuing her education at Portland State University.  She believes that change is possible and available to everyone.

Ryan Winn CADC I

Counselor

Ryan has been highly involved in the recovery community in and around Beaverton since 2019. He is currently working towards obtaining his QMHA and Bachelor’s of Psychology at PSU after earning his Associate’s in Addiction Studies at PCC in 2022. Ryan utilizes Mindfulness, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing as tools to change the way we think and empower us to see our full potential. He also holds a strong belief that sobriety doesn’t have to be boring, and while many serious topics are addressed throughout the recovery journey, it’s perfectly acceptable to laugh and experience joy. Ryan has a turbulent relationship with the Blazers and loves nothing more than family couch time with his dog, Jessie and fiancée, Steph.

Shelly has worked in addiction for 20 years and she is patient-centered and identifies as a person in long-term recovery.

Shelly utilizes DBT, CBT and MI techniques. Shelly helps clients to identify what it is they want in their life and gives each patient a safe place to do that work. Shelly is very passionate about recovery & believes that everyone deserves “Another Chance” to recover while applying acceptance and finding the positives in everything.

Shelly is an Oregon native and in her free time she enjoys time with her partner of over 20 years, 3 adult children (and their spouses) and her biggest blessing in her life, her 8 grandkids. They all enjoy spending time at softball/ baseball fields and football fields. When not at a game she believes that family is important so they all just hang out together.
